Bank Ramp Summary

Product: Bank Ramp

Price: $40 and upsells

Rating: 35/100

Overview: Bank Ramp is an Ecommerce training program and comes from well known internet marketer Jamie Lewis.

Dropshipping and Ecommerce can definitely make you money but like most of Jamie Lewis' courses, the training doesn't match the hype or promises.

If you want a program that lives up to the hype and will actually teach you how to make money online, you should consider checking out Wealthy Affiliate. It's where I learned how to quit my job and work full time online.

Who Is Jamie Lewis?

Jamie Lewis is a popular internet marketer and is a pretty charismatic character. He put's out A LOT of training programs and in the last few months I've probably reviewed 5 or 6 of his courses.

Each course teaches different things but the presentation and sales technique is almost always the same. Usually the sales video is Jamie showing off stacks of cash or driving in an expensive car.

He talks about how much money he's making with his new course and how well his students are doing and all of that.

One thing I respect about Jamie is he attaches his face to all of his products. Many other course creators hide their identities and don't like to attach themselves to their training - this is because most courses are scams.

I wouldn't say Jamie puts out scams and he definitely has students that are successful, so he's more comfortable about putting his face to all of his courses.

Overall my opinion about Jamie Lewis is pretty positive. His ideas are usually creative and he's certainly not boring.

But as far as Bank Ramp goes, this is probably my least favorite of his products. It just doesn't teach you enough about dropshipping for me to recommend it.

What Does Bank Ramp Teach?

Bank Ramp is an Ecommerce training course that teaches you how to sell cheap Chinese goods on Ebay and Shopify.

This is a very, very, very popular method of making money and Shopify Ecommerce is BLOWING up. You can find various guru's and training on this subject. I'd probably say this is the hottest trend in internet marketing at the moment.

I've done a little dropshipping in the past. I'll go more into what I think about dropshipping later on in the post but I found it incredibly difficult and stressful.

Bank Ramp shows you how to set up your Ebay account and how to set up your Shopify account but there's zero training on how to drive people to your offer, which is the most important step to the whole prices.

Setting up your Ebay and Shopify store is fairly easy and there's plenty of free training on Youtube that goes over it.

For example, here's a video from Youtube that explains the whole thing better than the training in Bank Ramp:

You add up all the information on creating a Shopify store from Bank Ramp and you probably get about 20 minutes. This videos is completely free and has nearly a hour of training.

There's videos on Youtube that go up to nearly 2 hours.

So you definitely aren't learning anything new or anything ground breaking about Shopify or Ebay in the bank Ramp training.

There's No Training On Advertising

Like I said in the last section, setting up your store and activating apps is the easy part - Shopify and Ebay are so advanced that any person can create a store in a hour.

The hard part is driving traffic to your offer and figuring out paid advertising without losing more money than you're making.

When you buy a dropshipping course you usually get some information on Facebook advertising or Instagram advertising - most of the time it's bad information but in a few rare cases you get some spectacular advice.

I understand if you don't want to do paid traffic - I personally have only been able to make free traffic work. But if you're not going to go over Facebook or Instagram advertising, you need to give an alternative.

They do go over how to set up an Instagram and tag products on Instagram but that's not advertising. When I say advertise on Instagram I mean reaching out to different accounts and having them promote your products.

This isn't mentioned in Bank Ramp.

If you can't drive traffic to your offers than you'll make zero dollars. It's pretty disappointing that there's nothing about traffic or advertising.

I'm Not A Fan Of Dropshipping

There are people making serious money from dropshipping and Ecommerce - I'm talking about millions a month.

I personally am not a fan of dropshipping, though. Part of the reason I work online is because I didn't want to be stressed out in my daily life.

Now I've had some stress on my journey to a full time worker online - mainly the wait between starting and actually making money was grueling. But now that I actually am full time and understand how to make money with affiliate marketing, stress has pretty much been eliminated.

That's because affiliate marketing is hands off. I just provide people with information and recommend different products. I send people to retailers that handle payments, returns and questions and I just get commission on every sale.

Dropshipping is different. While you're not dealing with shipping you do have to deal with customer support, returns, advertising and more.

For some people it won't be a problem - for me it was. If you're dropshipping you're researching products to sell, researching different markets to advertise to, doing research on Facebook, creating ads, creating thumbnails and high quality pictures for your ads, making product descriptions, doing returns, answering customer questions, and more.

It's a lot. You can outsource some of the work but it takes a while to get there. Dropshipping is more of a busy body industry. If you're a highly organized, somewhat anal person, than dropshipping will be fine for you.

If you're more relaxed and more hands off, affiliate marketing is more what you're looking for.

The Price Isn't Bad

Although I don't really like Bank Ramp and I don't like that it avoids the most important aspect of dropshipping (advertising and driving traffic) the price really isn't all that bad.

I guess for $40 I shouldn't be all that surprised this isn't a life changing course.

However, there is an upsell after you buy the course. An upsell is an offer for a most expensive product after your initial purchase.

This is a common tactic used by those who sell internet marketing courses and internet marketing tools - most of the time these upsells are where sellers make their real money.

They offer a product for something low (like $19) and then offer another product to supplement that one (usually by saying it'll skyrocket your profits, or something like that) for over $100.

In this case the upsell is over $180. If you decide to try out Bank Ramp resist the urge to get the upsell - it's just not worth it.

There's A Money Back Guarantee

Because this product is sold on Clickbank it must offer a 60 day full money back guarantee, which is nice.

The reason for this is a lot of products that are sold on Clickbank are kind of scammy and Clickbank would lose a lot of money if this wasn't their policy - nobody would want to buy any products listed there.

I've gotten my money back from Clickbank several times and it's very easy. You just initiate a live chat, give them your email address and order confirmation number and tell them why you want your money back.

Just say the product didn't live up to expectations and usually they'll just put your refund in right away. Sometimes they may ask you to try the product a few more days but just be firm that you want your money back and you'll always get it back.

What I Like About Bank Ramp

Honestly nothing much.

If I had to say something I guess it would be the cheap price (excluding the upsell) and the fact there's a money back guarantee.

What I Don't Like About Bank Ramp

Most of it.

Here are my main complaints:

1) Most of the training is based around setting up your Ebay and Shopify store. There's PLENTY of free resources that'll explain this process in much more depth.

2) There's really no information on driving traffic or advertising for your offer or products. This is the single most important aspect of making money not only with dropshipping but with making money online in general.

3) I'm not a fan of dropshipping. It's WAY more work than affiliate marketing and for the short time I did it stress definitely went up.

Here's How I Make Money Online

Hopefully by now I've talked you out of Bank Ramp and dropshipping in general - Bank Ramp just isn't enough to get you over the hump and dropshipping is difficult to get started with.

I personally like affiliate marketing. It's much easier to make money with, less stressful and you won't need any money to get started.
