What Is The Barefoot Books?

Barefoot Books was co-founded by Nancy Traversy and Tessa Strickland back in England in 1993. It is an independent and award-winning children's book publisher which offers books for infants, toddlers, and beyond. Apart from the publishing arm of the business, Barefoot Books also has a YouTube channel and an app called Barefoot World Atlas. It has been hailed by Forbes magazine as one of the Best Small Companies in America.

You'll find a diverse array of paperback and hardcover books and other learning materials here. If you have a baby or a toddler who likes books but can't help spilling juice or milk onto the pages, then you can purchase some colorful board books from Barefoot Books.

Barefoot Books also offers activity books, stickers, CDs, puzzles, and games to its young readers. Parents can also buy puppets, singalong CDs, and world music CDs offered by Barefoot Books.
Barefoot Books offers diverse narratives and encourages its young readers to learn more about different cultures of the world and empathize with characters who have different stories from their own.

All books are detailed and beautifully illustrated. The colors are brilliant, making sure that they are enticing for curious young bookworms. These books are ideal for home libraries, daycare and preschool centers, school libraries, and more.

The company is different from other book publishers because of its network marketing strategy. This means that you can join the company as an independent business owner or Ambassador so you can sell books, build your team, and earn commissions and bonuses for every milestone. This opportunity is available to anyone living in Canada or mainland US (except for residents of Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and those who live at an APO address).

Is The Barefoot Books a Pyramid Scheme?

No, Barefoot Books is not a pyramid scheme. This is a 100% legit independent publisher based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. You can purchase the books online if you want the convenience of ordering via its website. Customers can also purchase through a local Barefoot Books ambassador.

It has a network marketing business model, but that doesn't automatically mean it's a pyramid scheme. It has a lot of children's books you can sell should you decide to join it as an ambassador. Plus, Barefoot Books products are nothing to sneeze at because they are made of quality materials and are beautifully illustrated.

Some titles even received acclaim from the "IPPY" (Independent Publisher Book Awards), National Parent Products Awards, Parents' Choice Awards, and Tillywig Toy & Children's Product Awards.

What I Like About Barefoot Books

Barefoot Books products are nothing to sneeze at

Barefoot Books is not your fly-by-night publisher. The publisher has high editorial standards, and books offered by this publisher are high-quality and have impressive artwork. A few have even gone on to win awards.

You can purchase online or from a Barefoot Books ambassador

If you simply want to be a customer, you can make a purchase online or through a Barefoot Books ambassador in your area. But if you love these books and you believe you can earn some commissions and bonuses by joining the company as an ambassador, then you can do so.

This is a legit company

The publishing industry is a cutthroat business, but Barefoot Books seems to have survived every obstacle thrown in its way. It has been around since 1993 and has survived economic downturns, as well as the popularity of smartphones and eReaders.

If Barefoot Books is a scam or a simple pyramid scheme, it would have been shuttered down by the authorities a long time ago.

What I Don't Like About Barefoot Books

The network marketing part of the business

Network marketing is a fantastic marketing strategy for many companies, but success in this field can be hit-and-miss. This business model is perfect for natural-born salespersons, but it can be a nightmare if you just love books and money but don't want to do the selling part.

As an ambassador, your products have to compete with smartphones and eReaders

And even though you love the selling part, you're still going to compete with smartphones, Kindle, and social networking sites. You really need to hustle hard and find the right customers so you can be successful as an independent book distributor.

Is Barefoot Books A Scam?

The short answer is no, Barefoot Books is not a scam. This is a 100% legit independent children's book publisher that has been around for 26 years. It offers books for babies, toddlers, elementary school kids, and beyond.

The books, puzzles, and other products are impressive and worth any parents' money. It can be easy to sell these products if you live near schools, daycares, or libraries, or if you have a lot of friends who are parents or primary caregivers.

But if you do decide to become a Barefoot Books ambassador, then be realistic in your expectations when it comes to income. Barefoot Books is a legit company, and working as an independent distributor for the company can be worth your time. But it may be difficult to sell books in a world already dominated by smartphones, Snapchat, and Kindle.
