What Is DollarClix and How Does it Work?

If you're answered paid surveys online before, then you probably know what DollarClix is all about DollarClix is another paid survey and get-paid-to (GPT) website. Members sign up to earn some extra in exchange for points that they can redeem for cash and gift cards. According to Dollarclix, anyone can be a member as long as they are 18 years old and older.

Some offers are locked

Some offers are sometimes locked for 30 days to prevent users from accessing them and deleting their profiles after they had collected the rewards. These offers often have 500 points (equivalent to $5) or higher.

This is tagged by DollarClix as offer fraud. DollarClix will reverse the credit the moment they see that a user has been tagged as an offender. Users who close their accounts long enough will also be tagged and will have their offers and credits reversed as well.

Locked funds may be released earlier if the user is an active member of the website and has a good record. The funds can be released as early as 10 days after approval.

DollarClix tag cheater accounts

To ensure that your rewards are credited and your payment approved, follow DollarClix's rules to the letter. You will be marked a cheater if you fail in the verification process and use multiple accounts. The system also tags known proxy IP addresses, or if it notices that you frequently change your ISP connection. Do not use an anonymous IP address or multiple ISP connections.

Use Chrome and Mozilla Firefox only to access the DollarClix website. Do not use non-compatible browsers. Mobile and satellite connections are also non-compatible with the website.

If your account has been tagged as a cheater, you can contact DollarClix directly to file an appeal.

How Do You Get Paid with DollarClix?

Here comes the fun part. Cashing out your reward. Here are the ways you can receive your reward.

If you live anywhere in the world, you can have your reward wired to your bank account via Transferwise. You need to have a minimum of $25 in your DollarClix account to be eligible to cash out. Keep in mind DollarClix doesn't charge a fee, but Transferwise does.

DollarClix can also send your payment via Payoneer. You need to have a minimum of $50 in your account. Payoneer will charge a $2 fee for every transaction.

If you want to receive your payment via Prepaid Mastercard, make sure that you have a minimum of $5 in your DollarClix account. Cashing out is free, but it is available for certain countries only. You can check this page to see if your country belongs in this category.

The Prepaid Visa payout option is more convenient for international users as it is available in all countries. You will not pay any fee, but you need to have a minimum of $5 in your DollarClix account.

The Bitcoin is available only from time to time, so you can't rely on it completely for cashing out.

If you live in certain countries, you can also opt to receive an Amazon gift card. You will not pay any fee, but you need to have a minimum of $5 in your DollarClix account.

You can also choose a gift card from Flipkart, Shoppers Stop, and Big Bazaar. You will not pay any fee, but you need to have a minimum of $8 in your DollarClix account.

Tango Card is another option for US members. The card has more than 50 options you can convert to. You will not pay any fee, but you need to have a minimum of $5 in your DollarClix account.

UK members can opt to receive a Tesco gift card instead. You need to have £10 in your account before you can convert it to a Tesco gift card.

Anyone can join

A lot of GPT sites are only available for US and Canadian users. Some extend to Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, or even some parts of Europe, but that's just about it. If you live in other countries, then you can forget about joining.

But DollarClix is different. You can join the GPT site wherever you are in the world as long as you're 18 years old or older. But keep in mind that there are rules you must follow so your account will not be banned by DollarClix.

Many ways to get paid

DollarClix offers a lot of ways for you to get paid. You can request a direct bank transfer via Transferwise or you can cash out using Payoneer. You can also withdraw your money via Prepaid Visa and Mastercard.

If you'd rather receive gift cards, you can also do that. DollarClix offers gift cards from Amazon, Tesco, Tango, Flipkart, and more. You can even cash out your earnings via Bitcoin if you want. But remember that the Bitcoin option is only available from time to time.

Low payment threshold

One of DollarClix's main selling points is its low payment threshold. For example, if you want to cash out your earning via Prepaid Visa or Mastercard, you only need the equivalent of $5 in your DollarClix account to be eligible. Same with Amazon gift card or Tango Card.

What I Don't Like About DollarClix

It takes too long to reach the minimum payment threshold to cash out

One of the most common complaints about DollarClix is that it takes many months before you can reach the minimum payment threshold. This is not something you can rely on to pay the bills.

No direct PayPal option

DollarClix used to have a PayPal option, but it disappeared beginning sometime in 2018. Its account was allegedly banned because they were accused by PayPal as a get-rich-quick website. There were also rumors that DollarClix's account is already empty. If you still want to get paid via PayPal, you can register as a Tipalti user instead.

Instances when users were allegedly banned arbitrarily

Some users have accused DollarClix of banning them even though they followed the site's rules. One user complained that he or she was accused of using a VPN. Their account was reinstated a few times, but every time they racked up those points, they would get banned.

Is DollarClix A Scam?

DollarClix is a legitimate market research and GPT website. The majority of its users seem happy with it thanks to the number of ways they can cash out their earnings. It's not a scam, but there are some things you need to be aware of before you sign up.

First, you need to follow the site's rules to make sure you won't get banned or have your credit reversed. There is no direct PayPal option, and you have to sign up with Tipalti so you can get paid. It can also sometimes take too long before you can cash out the points you have accumulated.
