Paparazzi Accessories Summary
Company: Paparazzi Accessories
Price to join: $99 to $499
Rating: 30/100
Do I recommend? No!

Summary: Paparazzi Accessories is a MLM company that specializes in necklaces, bracelets and other trinkets like that.
While on paper this company may seem like a good opportunity it's actually the opposite - most people (up to 99%) lose money instead of make money here.
For this reason I don't recommend that you join.

What Is Paparazzi Accessories?
1) What is Paparazzi Accessories? Paparazzi Accessories is a MLM company that makes various jewelries and accessories for only $5. The company was founded by two sisters named Misty And Chani.
2) How do you make money with Paparazzi Accessories? Like I just mentioned this company is a MLM company which stands for Multi-Level Marketing. With a MLM you sign up to become a distributor and you get to sell their products for a commission. Also, you get paid for your ability to recruit and build your downline.
This may sound like a good idea but it's extremely flawed. I'll go more into this later on in this post.
3) What kind of products does this company sell? The different accessories here are necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings and other collections. The sales gimmick here is everything is just $5.
4) Are there similar companies out there? There's many other MLM's that are similar including Stella & Dot and Origami Owl.
Is Paparazzi Accessories A Pyramid Scheme?
This is a pretty complicated topic and many people believe all MLM's are pyramid schemes. The reason for this is MLM's have such a low success rate and MLM's in general are almost universally hated.
The truth is Paparazzi Accessories probably isn't an illegal pyramid scheme but it definitely has elements of one.
To understand what I mean, look at the picture below:

This is what part of Paparazzi Accessories and all MLM's look like and it's the part that rewards recruitment.
In an illegal pyramid scheme all profit or a majority of profits come from recruitment. These systems always collapse because eventually recruitment stops and when this happens there's not enough money to pay everyone.
The reason Paparazzi Accessories isn't an illegal pyramid is because you can make money without recruitment and you can sell their products directly to customers for retail commissions.
I really can't tell you what percentage of the money being made here is through recruitment or retail sales. If recruitment is making up more than 50% of profits then you're in a legitimate pyramid scheme.

Success Is Rare With Paparazzi Accessories
Here's the things with MLM's - almost everyone that joins one loses money instead of making money. This is true with not only Paparazzi Accessories but all MLM's.
Many studies show that up to 99% of people just end up losing money.
The reason for this is just the way the business is set up (it's setup so most people fail and only a few benefit).
The reason for this really revolves around recruitment. Any system that relies on recruitment is due to fail.
The reason for this is recruitment is very difficult and with MLM's you tend to have to try and sell and recruit family members.
This is awkward and many people quit over this.
If you want to see some more eye opening MLM stats, look at this graph below:

As you can see MLM's just aren't a good business model.
How Much To Join Paparazzi Accessories
The price to join Paparazzi Accessories is likely more expensive than you've been let on to believe.
There's a few costs to factor in and they are:
Starter Kit
When you sign up for Paparazzi Accessories you have to buy a starter pack and there's three options including:
- Preview Pack ($99)
- Small Home Part Kit ($299)
- Large Home Party Kit ($499)
The difference between the packs is how many products you get.
Autoshipment
There's a hidden cost to doing business with Paparazzi Accessories and that's what is known as autoshipment. Autoshipment means a certain amount of products are shipped to you every month regardless if you need it or not.
In order to be eligible for commissions you need to buy $70 worth of products every single month.
Keep in mind most people don't make money with MLM's so this fee can add up and it's extremely hard to sell stock in the beginning.
Before you know it you might have $500, $600, $700 or even $1000+ worth of products.
Keep in mind if too much of a company's revenue comes from distributors buying products it's another sign of an illegal pyramid scheme.
Paparazzi Accessories Compensation Plan
MLM compensation plans are always difficult to understand and if you're new to the MLM world it's going to be basically impossible for you decipher the compensation plan on your own.
If you want to watch a presentation on the compensation plan, watch the video below:
I don't think it's too important to know every detail of the compensation plan and instead I'm just going to highlight the most important parts.
Affiliate Ranks:
At Paparazzi Accessories there's 14 different ranks you can achieve - take a look at the table below to see them all:

To get from one rank to another you have to hit certain goals and you get rewards/benefits from going to one rank to another.
To get from rank 1 to rank 2 you'd have to sell 50 PV (personal volume) of products. To get to the third rank you'd have to maintain 50 PV of sales and recruit 3 people into the system.
This goes on and on until you reach the 14th rank. To reach this rank you'd have to sell 250 PV worth of products, your downline would have to sell 1,500,000 OV and you'd have to have at least 3 active recruits. Keep in mind it would takes thousands of recruits to hit 1,500,000 in group sales.
Most people, however, won't get past the first 2 ranks and basically no one gets to the last ranks.
Retail Sales:
You can make money by just selling Paparazzi products directly to customers. This works by you buying the products in wholesale at $2.75.
Paparazzi products are sold at $5 so you would make $2.25 per sale.
You're going to have to sell A LOT of necklaces to make anything meaningful at $2.25 per sale.
Residual Commissions:
Residual commissions are the earnings you make off your downline. The pay structure here is unilevel and looks like the following:

How much you make and to what level you earn from depends on your rank. For instance someone at level 2 rank earns 5% on level 1. Someone that's a rank 4 earns 10% from level 1, 5% from level 2, and 5% from level 3.

Paparazzi Accessories Products
There's a few companies like this one around.
They pretty much have the same gimmick - they offer a bunch of different very cheap jewelries.
Paparazzi Accessories have a few different categories and a lot of different products. All of them costing $5.
I'm in no way a fashion expert so my opinion on how the jewelry looks is pretty worthless.
However, it looks like $5 jewelry to me. Maybe if you're someone that really loves to accessorize and love wearing different necklaces every day you'd like the stock.
What I Like About Paparazzi Accessories
I definitely don't recommend this company but there's some things to like including:
- Been around for nearly a decade: MLM's come and go (most don't last more than a couple of years). Paparazzi Accessories has been around since 2010 so it seems pretty stable.
- A lot of products to choose from: Many MLM's have a couple of products they sell but this company is a little different. They have a wider selection so there's more of a chance of a customer liking something.
What I Don't Like About Paparazzi Accessories
At the end of the day there's more not to like here than to like and the main things to dislike are:
- Very low success rate: MLM's are historically very hard to succeed with and almost everyone that joins one ends up losing money. The business model is extremely flawed.
- Low commissions: If you want to make money without recruiting you'll have a hard time too. You only make $2.25 per sale and you're going to have to make a lot of sales per day to make any real money.
- Autoshipment: I really hate autoshipment requirements because MLM's are so hard to make money with. You're just going to end up having more stock than you can sell because of this.
- Bothering friends and family: The worst part of MLM's is you have to bother friends and family to make sales and recruit. This is one of the main reasons people quit MLM's and could ruin important relationships.
Is Paparazzi Accessories A Scam?
So is Paparazzi Accessories a scam?
I don't know if I'd go that far but it definitely is a bad business opportunity (as are all MLM's).
MLM's are just set up so a few people succeed while the rest lose their money or make so little it wasn't worth the effort.
Out of desperation you may even turn to recruiting family members which I promise you they won't like.
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
