Welcome to The Affiliate Doctor's Tecademics review.
Today we're going to talk about what it is all about, the products it offers, its affiliate program, and whether Tecademics is a scam or not.
As a bonus, we are also going to discuss IQUP, another Arizona-based school that offers similar courses.
Let's begin!
Tecademics Summary

Summary: Tecademics is a defunct school that offered internet marketing courses. Tecademics had a "curriculum" developed for the modern entrepreneur. Student-entrepreneurs chose an individual class in Tecademics' curriculum or purchased a whole package where classes are grouped according to their relevance to the topic they had chosen. Tecademics also had an affiliate program.
Tecademics closed shop in early 2018 after a rift between its co-founders, Chris Record and Piccolo. Mr. Piccolo bought the school, and rebranded it as IQUP.

What Is Tecademics?
Tecademics is a defunct school that offered internet marketing courses. If you have an online business or you want to build one, then Tecademics would have been perfect for you.
Tecademics had a "curriculum" developed for the modern entrepreneur. Student-entrepreneurs chose an individual class in Tecademics' curriculum or purchased a whole package where classes are grouped according to their relevance to the topic they had chosen.
Some of its courses included the basics of starting a business. These include courses such as Accounting, Tax, and Legal Basics for Small Business; Basic Web Development; and Content Creation. Tecademics also offered advanced courses, such as Agency Unique Selling Proposition, Digital Asset Brokering, and Marketing Action Plan.
Tecademics' course offering was eclectic. Its instructors taught students how to build and scale their Shopify stores, how to market via YouTube, and how to fly a drone.
Tecademics paid affiliates to promote the courses. The affiliate program, however, was canceled in early 2018.
The school was founded by Chris Record, an internet marketer with a penchant for rapping. You can check out his enthusiastic (if a bit cringe-worthy) music video below.
It had an impressive 25,000 sq ft campus in Scottsdale, Arizona. To be clear, Tecademics did not offer online classes. Students must go to Arizona if they wanted to learn about internet marketing as taught by Tecademics.
In early 2018, the sale of Tecademics to IQUP was finalized. It was sold to co-owner Jim Piccolo (who also owns IQUP) after a falling out with Chris Record. Allegedly, Mr. Record wanted the classes to be available online, but Mr. Piccolo wanted traditional classrooms only. The differences in opinions created a rift between them and ultimately ended their partnership.
IQUP adopted the majority of classes created by Tecademics. It has also retained the look and feel of the Tecademics website. IQUP's new home is still in Scottsdale, but its office is now located on North Thompson Peak Parkway.
If you're interested in signing up for one of IQUP's classes, keep in mind that Mr. Piccolo has a shady reputation and has an extensive history of scamming people. Apart from IQUP (formerly Nouveau Riche), he is also involved in Bizzibiz and Global Banking Academy. Former associates have filed lawsuits against him, and he has also declared bankruptcy in the past.
As for Mr. Record, he has built his own venture called Lifepreneur. He is also set to launch another course entitled Digital Agency Builder.
How Much to Join Tecademics?

Take a look at Tecademics subscriptions fees below. These subscription fees were charged before Tecademics was sold to IQUP and back when Tecademics still had an affiliate program.
The Entrepreneur Club (TEC) - $100 per month
Impact - $2,000
Masters - $10,000
As of the time of writing, IQUP is still not offering an affiliate program.
What is Tecademics' Compensation Plan?

As mentioned, Tecademics sold its entire suite of products to IQUP on the 23rd of February, 2018. As such, the Tecademics Affiliate Program or Ambassador Program was also canceled. Affiliates were allowed to earn final sales commissions up until March 2018, while all payments were cashed out on the 1st of April, 2018.
It seems that IQUP has not launched an affiliate program as of the time of writing, so we can't give you any information about its compensation plan.
What Products Does Tecademics Offer?
Tecademics offered a wide selection of classes in its internet marketing curriculum. This was one of the most comprehensive internet marketing classes offered by any school. These courses were divided into Immersion, Sprint, and Optional classes. Check them out below.

What I Like About Tecademics

The wide selection of internet marketing courses available
Tecademics offered a wide and impressive array of internet marketing courses to its students. Students enrolled in classes about topics such as Facebook and Instagram marketing, Google Adwords, Keyword Strategies, and Internet Lead Generation.
Some of the classes are more modern and eclectic, and these include Drone Pilot Field Flight School 101 (up to 501), Drone Pilot Ground School, and Drone Pilot Introduction.
If you're an internet marketer, you would have found the courses extremely helpful.
It had a campus
Tecademics was an outlier because it had its campus. You can still see the campus here.
What I Don't Like About Tecademics
Mr. Piccolo and Mr. Record's history
In 2000, Mr. Piccolo, his wife, and another associate founded a non-accredited vocational school and MLM company called Nouveau Riche. The school collapsed in 2011 after the authorities found that Piccolo and his associates were involved in large-scale fraud. Piccolo and his associates were ordered "to pay $5,577,226 in restitution and a total of $300,000 in administrative penalties for defrauding 105 investors with unregistered deed of trust investments." You can read more about that case here.
Playing fast and loose with students' money and failed ventures seem to be Mr. Piccolo's modus operandi. He created/became associated with other ventures called Bizzibiz, Piccolo University, and Global Bank Academy. All of these ventures also ended in fraud and notoriety.
Before Mr. Record and Mr. Piccolo parted ways, Tecademics was also embroiled in accusations of fraud. Additionally, Mr. Record "record" was far from spotless. Read this post to learn more about Mr. Record and some of the issues regarding Tecademics.
You can read more about the scams pulled of by the owners of Tecademics and Nouveau Riche over the years here and here.

Is Tecademics A Scam?
The optimists among us think people can change and they deserve a second chance. But judging from Mr. Record and Mr. Piccolo's failed ventures and history of defrauding students and investors for many years, it is apparent that both men are not to be trusted with one's money.
Tecademics is defunct anyway, so perhaps there's no point in asking if it's a scam. But Mr.Piccolo's IQUP is still alive and well, and still has the potential to defraud students and affiliates. My advice is to stay away from it.
