If you're here you're probably wondering if this program is a scam or not.

That's what this review will answer.

You'll know if Dapp University is worth it by the time you're done reading.

Let's get into it!

Dapp University Bootcamp Summary

Creator: Gregory McCubbin

Price to join: $499

Do I recommend? Not really

   Overall rating: 2.5/5

Dapp University offers a free course that goes over how you can make money being a blockchain developer.. there's a paid course that goes over how to actually do it step by step.

While I think there's money to be made here I don't think this course is quality enough for you to make it in the blockchain world.

This seems like something you really need to devote your time to learning and won't learn it in one course.

Who Is Gregory McCubbin?

There's really nothing out there about Gregory that doesn't come from his own mouth.

Anytime you hear claims from someone on the internet you should be a little skeptical.

There's one thing I want to point out with Gregory before moving on to the next section..

Gregory has a VERY active Youtube channel.

He has over 180k subscribers and makes a new video every single day:

A question you need to ask yourself is this: Does Gregory make more on Youtube/course sales than he does as a blockchain developer?

I'm guessing he does.

If that's the case clearly talking about being a blockchain developer makes you more money and is easier than actually being a blockchain developer.

What Does Dapp University Teach?

Dapp University teaches you how to become a blockchain developer.

Being a blockchain developer is definitely a lucrative career and people are making 6 figures a year.

The problem is it's not really as simple as taking a single course and all of a sudden you're making 6 figures a year.

Before you can even be a blockchain developer you need experience in the following:

  • Understanding of program language (Python, JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of program concepts
  • Familiarity with the command line to create new directories

Because this is more of a career instead of a side hustle it's going to take a lot of time to master as well.

Some places claim it will take 6 months to get decent and years to really know what you're doing.

That's a lot of effort.

There's plenty of online business models that you can start right now without any experience and without a lot of money.

This is the kind of work that I like to do.

Free Dapp University Course

When you go to Dapp University you'll be prompted to sign up for the free course.

This really isn't a course, though. You won't actually learning how to become a blockchain developer.

Instead you're really just getting an overview of the opportunity.

The free course has 3 videos and covers the following topics:

  • How Gregory made $20,000 for a weeks worth of work
  • Why blockchain developers make so good much money
  • How to monetize your skills

These videos are very quick and are about 15 minutes each.

The reason there's a free course is so Gregory can sell you on the premium course that costs $499.

This is a typical marketing strategy.

You sign up with your email for the free course and you'll get a ton of emails promoting the paid course:

Dapp University Bootcamp FAQs

1) Is Dapp University Bootcamp worth $499?

$499 isn't that much.. especially when you consider how much blockchain developers are making.

However, I don't think this course is all that you need to become a full time blockchain developer.

You'll need to invest in more serious training programs.

I'd just go right into the more serious programs if I were you.

2) Do you think Gregory McCubbin is legit?

I think he knows what he's talking about when it comes to blockchain and the technology involved with crypto.

However, I don't think blockchain development is how Gregory really makes his money.

He uploads videos everyday and that's likely a full time job.. I just don't see how he could also have to time to be a blockchain developer as well.

Also, I think he makes a decent amount from selling courses as well.

3) What do I get with the Bootcamp?

The training isn't too long.

Basically you learn about the basics and what all the most important blockchain terms are.

After that you get step by step training on various aspects of blockchain development.

4) Is there a payment plan?

There is.. you can pay $199 over a 3 month period.

This comes out to nearly $600 ($100 more than if you paid in full right away).

5) Can I really make money as a blockchain developer?

There's definitely career opportunities in blockchain and more and more companies are going to start using this technology.

However, I don't know if you'll get hired based of just taking one course.

You might be able to freelance and get jobs that way but if you're trying to get hired by a company you'll probably need more credentials.

6) Is there a refund policy?

Yes, there's a good refund policy. You have 30 days to get your money back.. no questions asked.

7) Are there better alternatives?

There's various blockchain development courses out there.

There's also a ton of other courses that'll teach you how to make money online and from your computer too.

Dapp University Pros And Cons

Pros
  • In demand career: Blockchain is growing and growing in importance. This is definitely a career that's going to be in demand.
  • Good refund policy: If you're not satisfied you get 30 days to get your money back.. no questions asked. That's a good return policy.
Cons
  • Full time career: This isn't really something that you can treat like a side hustle or hobby. You'll need to invest serious time learning what to do and that'll be tough for a lot of people.
  • Not the best training: The Bootcamp is good if you're absolute beginner but you're not getting a 6 figure career from taking this one course. You'll need more serious training after.
  • Not sure how much Gregory makes with blockchain: Gregory has a good brand with Dapp University.. between Youtube and his course I'm sure he's making a lot. However, I don't think he's making the same with blockchain.. meaning he makes more talking about blockchain than he does with actual development.
Is Dapp University Bootcamp a scam?

I wouldn't say that.

I think Gregory knows what he's talking about when it comes to blockchain and there's some value in the Bootcamp.

I just think he's making it seem like a 6 figure career in blockchain development is easier than it seems.

I highly doubt you'll be making anything serious after this one course.

Here's A Better Opportunity

I'd skip on Dapp University Bootcamp.

I think becoming a blockchain developer is worth it if you're willing to go all in.. even then you should probably take a different program (one more professional).

However, there's many ways to make money online that doesn't require you treating it like a full time job..

I've also reviewed hundreds of courses that teach this.
