Freedom Farmers Microgreens Course promises to help you build a microgreens business from scratch.

And make $2,000 in your first month.

Is this true or a scam?

We'll get to the bottom of this question in this review.

Besides that, we'll also look at what's being offered to you and any red flags that I can find.

Let's get started!

Freedom Farmers Microgreen Summary

Creator: Jonah Krochmalnek

Price to join: $540 to $3,790

Do I recommend? It depends

   Overall rating: 3/5

I think the microgreens course from Freedom Farmers is pretty unique and interesting.

If you're someone who likes growing plants and wants to make some extra cash doing so, this course will work for you.

However, I wouldn't buy it for $3,790 or $997, which the course sometimes costs.

But at $540, the course price isn't too bad.

Could you figure out how to do all this stuff without a course?

Sure.

But if you want all the information in one place, I think Freedom Farmers Microgreen's course is pretty good.

Lastly, you will need to be in a populated area for this strategy to work.

You'll need a good amount of chefs to sell to.

Why Do Microgreens Make Money?

So I'm an expert in passive income and mainly focus on online money-making methods.

I've made a lot of money doing this.

I do not really know much about the microgreen industry or farming in general.

I've done some gardening, but it was mainly vegetables for myself and to give to friends and family.

But I did do a little research on microgreens, and there does seem to be a market for them.

There are a few reasons for this, including:

  • High Demand: Microgreens are loaded with nutrients and are very tasty. So people seek these kinds of veggies out.
  • Short Growth Cycle: I'll link to a video below demonstrating this. But microgreens can be grown in a few weeks or less. So it's a quick turnaround.
  • High Crop Yield: Another good thing about microgreens is that they need very little space to flourish. Most people seem to grow them in a spare room.
  • Low overhead costs: I always look for businesses that cost little to start. Starting a microgreen business doesn't require expensive equipment or anything too crazy.
  • Chefs look local: Apparently, chefs like to source things locally because they taste better. And microgreens apparently spoil pretty quickly, so the shorter the transportation time, the better.

So there does seem to be a market for this produce.

Here's a nice little video that explains microgreens and why they're so appealing to grow:

Do You Need The Microgreens Course?

I've reviewed probably close to a thousand money-making systems and courses on this website over the years.

Many industries are very saturated with courses, and it wouldn't make sense to spend thousands on training when there are just so many alternatives that are cheaper.

There aren't too many microgreen courses out there, but does that mean you still need a course?

It really depends on you.

The best way to learn is to learn from someone who has already had success.

And Jonah Krochmalnek is extremely successful with microgreens.

He has a massively growing business in Toronto that you won't be able to emulate unless you work at it for years.

But Jonah said he started small and grew over the years.

You might not be able to replicate this business now, but you can definitely learn the best growing techniques from Jonah.

The guy has definitely mastered the art of growing microgreens indoors.

There's also the business and marketing side to these kinds of businesses.

You might know how to grow, but do you know the ins and outs of the business side of microgreens?

Probably not.

So the course is definitely going to help you in a lot of ways if you buy it.

Here's What You Get?

This is a pretty standard offering in terms of what you get.

Again, I've reviewed a lot of courses that teach making money, and they all have a main course with some extra bonuses, which is what you get here.

Here's an overview of everything:

  • Masterclass: This is the core part of the training and will lay out the step-by-step process you need to start a microgreen business from scratch. This includes how to grow your microgreens and who to sell them to.
  • Monthly Q&As: Once a month, Jonah will do a group Q&A session with all the members of this course. You'll be able to pick Jonah's brain here and get help with any problems that you're having.
  • Custom Farmware account: FarmWare is an app that helps you with your farm. You'll get a custom account geared toward your needs.
  • Watering Crash Course: This is a bonus course that teaches you everything you need to know about watering.
  • Seeds and Supplies List: You'll also get references for high-quality seeds and supplies with links to buy them.

So it's a pretty complete course and will definitely set you on the right path to starting a microgreen business.

Freedom Farmers Microgreen FAQ's

Still have some questions about this course?

Here's some FAQ's to answer any remaining questions you might have.

1) How much does it cost?

The course seems to always be changing prices.

It can range anywhere from $540 to $3790.

It really depends on where on the website you try to buy.

I clicked one link from Google and the course was $540.

Then I clicked on another link on the Freedom Farmer's website and it cost $997.

So if you're interested try to buy it for the cheaper price and email them if you have to.

2) Is there a refund policy?

There's not one displayed on the sales page but if you go digging through the terms and conditions, it says you have 30 days to get your money back.

That's a fine refund policy.

Especially since there's a promise of you making $2,000 in your first 30 days.

So if you're not making money just ask for your money back.

3) Is this course for everyone?

You always want to do a pros and cons list when starting a business.

The one group I can see struggling to make money with this method is people who live low density population areas.

The reason is you're going to need clientele for this to be successful and you'll need a lot of restaurants.

Jonah operates out of Toronto which has millions of people and unlimited chefs to sell to.

If there's one restaurant within 30 miles of you I doubt you'll be able to make any money.

Other than that this seems like a business model most people can handle.

It's not labor intensive and doesn't require any expensive tools or a lot of space.

It doesn't even really seem you need to pay too much attention to the plants.

4) What are the startup costs?

This business model has very low startup costs which is a good thing.

Basically you'll need to buy trays ($2 each), seeds (about $5 per tray), growing mats ($2 each) and some plastic packaging to put the trays in ($0.50 each).

There might be a slight increase in your electricity bill as well since the plants need lighting.

According to this source you can starting making anywhere from $500 to $1000 per month with just 10-20 trays of microgreens.

So you're looking at about $100 to start which is fantastic.

Final Thoughts

So that's the end of my review of Freedom Farmers Micogreens Course.

This was a little different than what I'm used to, and I'm glad I reviewed this course.

I always love to learn about different ways to make money, and it's not to see a low-cost, IRL business.

It's cheap enough to start that I think it's worth giving it a shot if you live in a place with lots of restaurants.

Maybe, over time, you'll be able to grow it into a full-time business.

All the ingredients for that seem to be here.

It's inexpensive to start, and it seems it can be scaled.

Also, it seems like a nice and easy way to make about $1,000 extra a month if that's what you're interested in.

My only advice is to try to buy for just $540 and avoid the higher prices for the course if you can.

But there's a 30-day refund if you're not happy, regardless.

Additionally, there are ways to make money online that require very little money.

I've personally made hundreds of thousands online without spending more than a few hundred a year.
