The Selling Family teaches Amazon FBA and they have many courses about the topic - their main one is called Amazon Boot Camp.

If you're here you're probably wondering if The Selling Family is a scam or not.

That's what this review will answer.

Below you'll find everything you need to know about them including background information, price to join, course overview and more.

By the time you're done you'll know if their products are worth your time.

Let's get into it!

The Selling Family Summary

Creator: Jessica and Cliff

Price to join: $495 for Amazon Boot Camp (they sell a bunch of courses, however).

Do I recommend? It depends.

   Overall rating: 3.5/5

The Selling Family teaches Amazon FBA and has a bunch of different courses - their main one being the Amazon Bootcamp.

The course is well made and high quality - the price isn't bad either (cheaper than most Amazon FBA courses).

However, Amazon FBA is a tough way to make money and has high startup costs.

There's ways to sell products online that are much easier and cheaper.

Better opportunity: My favorite ecommerce course is Ecom Elites. This course teaches you how to sell products online without actually having to buy or ship them. To learn more, click below:

The Truth About Amazon FBA

I've been making money online for quite some time now and have made a lot doing it - I've also tried all the different ways there is to make money online.

Of all the ways to make money online Amazon FBA is the toughest and the most expensive to start.

You can definitely make money with Amazon FBA. Some people even make millions from it.

However, it's very involved.

One person compared it to running a restaurant. I don't know if you know anyone that manages or owns a restaurant but it's a lot of work and is very stressful.

You're always looking at inventory, ordering products, managing shipping times, dealing with unsatisfied customers and more.

You need to buy thousands worth of products as well.

Amazon FBA is for type "a" personalities and people that are going to take it very seriously. It's not for people looking for a laidback way to make money.

Who Is The Selling Family?

The Selling Family is a couple who sell on Amazon (and sell Amazon courses).

Their online journey started in 2008 when the economy and mortgage crisis hit.

The wife, Jessica, lost her job and decided she wasn't going back to working for anyone (where you can lose your job).

She decided to make money with Amazon and soon after Cliff quit his job to work with his wife.

In their first year they apparently profited over $100,000.

Over the last 10 years they've also been blogging their experiences and selling their courses.

Their website, TheSellingFamily.com, is one of the biggest Amazon FBA blogs and definitely makes these two serious money.

I'd be willing to bet they make more money from this site than they do from actually selling on Amazon.

They have a Youtube channel as well but it seems to be pretty dead (there hasn't been much posting in the last year).

Amazon Boot Camp V4.0

Their most well known course is the Amazon Boot Camp and they are on their 4th version of this program.

Here's a breakdown of what you'll learn here:

Module 1: Amazon Business Basics

Module 1 is a simple introduction to Amazon and how to sell on this platform.

You'll learn the basics and all the legal stuff to keep your business compliant.

Module 2: Amazon Seller Account Setup

This module goes over the backend of Amazon and how to set up your seller account.

You'll learn exactly how everything works, how to choose a name and more.

Module 3: Scanning Apps And Other Supplies

In this section you'll learn about various apps that allow you to scan products in stores to get products ideas.

A niche is just the category of products you'll be selling.

In modules 4 and 5 you'll learn about which niches are most profitable and which you should avoid.

Module 6: Evaluating If A Product Is Worth Selling

Eventually you'll have to determine which products are worth selling and which are worth leaving behind.

That's what module 6 goes over.

In this section you'll learn the art of selecting winning products and when to cut out the losers.

Module 7: Retail Arbitrage Sourcing

Retail arbitrage sourcing is finding products at a discount and selling them.

Here you'll learn how to do this in big stores like Target.

Module 8: Online Arbitrage Sourcing

This is an alternative method of finding products.

Instead of going store to store to find products, you will try to find products online.

This involves using various tools online to do this.

Module 9 to 10: Pricing And Listing Products On Amazon

In order to make sales you need to make your listing easy to read and price your products correctly.

Modules 9 and 10 will show you how to do this.

Modules 11 to 13: Prepping, Packing, Shipping

FBA stands for Fulfillment By Amazon.

With this business model you send products to Amazon's warehouses and they ship them for you.

This section will teach you how to get products to these warehouses safely.

Module 14: Managing Your Amazon Account

This is a module that teaches you how to manage your Amazon account. This includes looking at items sold, helping customers and communicating with seller support.

Bonus 1: Members Only Community (Only Available With $495 Version)

This is access to a Facebook Group where you can ask questions and get answers to your problems.

This community is pretty big and has over 5,000 people in it.

Because of this you should be able to solve any issues that you have

Bonus 2: Discounts And Extended Free Trials

The Selling Family is a well known brand in the Amazon FBA world.

Because of this they get discounts and free trials on popular Amazon FBA tools.

Bonus 3: Our FAQ Library

The Selling Family is also one of the longest running blogs on Amazon as well. They've answered A LOT of questions and you'll get access to the full library of their FAQ's.

Want The Best Ecommerce Course?

I've reviewed all the top courses that teach selling products online. To see the very best, click below:

Price Differences

There's 3 different prices for this course and they are:

  • $495 for everything
  • 3 payment of $195 for everything
  • $295 for just the course

The payment plan is for people that can't afford to pay up front but still want access to the entire program.

It does come out to more, though.

$295 is just for the course and you don't get access to the private Facebook Group.

60 Day Refund Policy!

The Amazon Boot Camp course comes with an amazing 60 day money back guarantee.

What's really good is this money back guarantee is no questions asked.

Many courses require that you to prove that you tried their training and stuff like that.

This is the best refund policy I've seen in a long time and is a testament to the training.

The Amazon Boot Camp isn't the only course or service that The Selling Family offers.

Here's a look at what else they offer:

This course is $100.

1001+ Online Sourcing Stores

If you don't want to source products by going to the store, you can do it online.

That's what you'll get with this product.

This will cost you $37.

The Selling Family Pros And Cons

Here's what I like and dislike about this program

Pros
  • Amazon Boot Camp is valuable: Their main training program, Amazon Boot Camp, is very well made. You will definitely understand Amazon FBA by the time you're done.
  • Mini Courses are well made: The main course will teach you pretty much everything you need to know and the mini courses teach everything else. All your Amazon FBA needs should be met by all the courses.
  • Excellent refund policy: Most courses have some sort of refund policy - some are good and others are bad. A 60 day no questions asked refund is about as good as you'll find anywhere.
Cons
  • Amazon FBA is tough: The main negative here is the business model being taught. Amazon FBA is an expensive and difficult way to make money online. It's definitely not for anyone looking for an easy way to earn a full time living.
Is The Selling Family A Scam?

Definitely not.

This is one of the better Amazon FBA courses out there and it's actually well priced.

It gets expensive when you start looking at everything they offer but you don't need to buy all the courses - Amazon Boot Camp should work just fine.

The only downside is Amazon FBA is a business model I wouldn't want to get involved with.

It's expensive and takes a lot of work to succeed with.

Here's A Better Opportunity

The Selling Family is a good place to learn Amazon FBA.

However, there's better and more affordable places to learn how to sell products online.

The very best place to learn this is Ecom Elites

Ecom Elites teaches you how to sell products online without actually buying them, shipping them and avoiding Amazon's high fees.
