If you're here I'm guessing you watched a stock presentation from Jason Simpkins where he hyped up a stock, calling it the Retinal Matrix.

Jason even claims this "tiny defense contractor could soon hand investors a 26,221% gain."

1) What Is The Retinal Matrix Stock?

The company being pitched is called Kopin.

This company creates components for wearable products for military, enterprise, industrial, media and consumer markets.

A lot of their products are expected to be used in augmented reality technology.

2) Is Kopin Worth Investing In?

Kopin has been around for over 30 years and they've always had a hard time staying profitable.

About 50% of its revenue comes from military contracts and the market cap is small (it's below $150 million).

Their stock is pretty volatile as well and has had some giant spikes and crashes in its history:

So this is a very risky stock to invest in.

The only viable strategy here is to buy it, hold it and wait for one of the pops it seems to get every once in a while.

This stock has reached heights of nearly $50 before.

If you're extremely patient it might work out for you.

3) Is Jason Simpkins Legit?

I wrote a review of Jason's most well known stock picking service called Wall Street's Proving Ground.

At the end of the day he seems like an average stock picker.

About half the stocks I've looked at from him are profitable and the other half aren't.

Also, Jason works for a horrible company called Agora (they own his publisher Outsider Club) and I wouldn't want to give them my money.

For instance, just last year they were caught defrauding senior citizens:

Tricking senior citizens out of their money with phony investing and health products is about as low as you can go.

Also, Agora is very predatory.

Once you buy something from them they are bombard you with other offers.

It's usually not worth dealing with them.
