MyClearOpinion Review – Legit Opportunity Or Scam?

1) What is MyClearOpinion? MyClearOpinion is a survey site where you get paid for doing surveys.

You have to sign up and provide information about yourself and then if you're in the right demographic for a survey, you can take it. 

2) When was the site started? This is a pretty established survey site and they've been around for 13+ years. 

3) Is there a payment threshold? One of the major positives about MyClearOpinion is you don't have to reach a payment threshold to collect your rewards.

However, you only get to cash out once a month. 

4) How do you get paid? I'll go more in depth how the overall payment system works later on but you don't actually earn money. You earn points that can be turned into gift cards. 

How Do You Sign Up?

The sign up process is a little different at MyClearOpinion than other survey sites that I've reviewed.

Usually you put in an email address, get an email with a link to join and then you fill out some personal information.

With MyClearOpinoin you go right to the personal information before you even put in an email address. 

They ask you questions about:

• Which country you live
• What year you were born in
• What level of education you finished
• Current employment status
• What industry you work in
• Lots of questions about your job
• Questions about different technology your work uses
• Ethnicity
• Languages spoke
• Where you get your news
• Your address

This is definitely a more in depth signing up process than other sites as well.

One thing that I don't like is they ask you for sensitive information like your phone number and personal address.

I'm always a little skeptical about giving away my information like that. MyClearOpinion claims to be secure but you never really know.

After you answer all those questions you finally put in a email. An email is sent to you and then you have to confirm your subscription.

Here's How The Surveys Work

Once you sign up you get access to your surveys.

There's 3 kinds of surveys that are offered and they are:

• Available
• Diary Surveys
• Profiler Surveys

The first is in my opinion the best kind. They are just surveys that you get to take right away with out jumping through a bunch of hoops.

The second kind is a diary survey. These aren't surveys that you complete in one day and instead are completed over a series of days.

The last kind is profiler surveys. You don't actually get rewards for filling out these surveys but they'll lead to more surveys down the road.

You fill out a survey with a bunch of personal information and if your profile matches what they are looking for, you get surveys later.

Monthly Prize Draws

There's a lot of times when you fill out questions for a survey (that can take a decent amount of time) and you won't be eligible.

If this happens enough times people tend to leave the survey site for good because they're wasting their time. 

MyClearOpinion tries to remedy this with monthly prize draws.

If you fill out questions and aren't eligible for a survey you're placed in a pool where you have a chance to win a $100 American Express gift check.

You can get more than one spot in this pool as well - it all just depends on how many times you were rejected.

This isn't a really good way to earn money, though. There's probably a good chance you never even win.

CLEARcash Explained

You don't actually earn money with MyClearOpinion.

Instead you earn points that you can convert into gift cards (so you complete a survey, get a certain amount of points and cash out at the end of the month).

100 CLEARcash equals $1.

Here's the following gift cards you can get:

• Best Buy
• CVS
• Lowes (need 1000 points)
• Home Depot (need 1000 points)

You can also donate your CLEARcash to different charities. 

There's Not A Lot Of Surveys

If you want to make anything decent at a survey site you know what you need? You need actual surveys.

The problem is you really don't get a lot of surveys.

A lot of times you have to be in a very specific group to be eligible as well.

You're going to have a hard time making anything significant here. You might get an email from time to time with a survey but definitely not ever day.

Can you make enough to get a $10 gift card? Maybe but it's not going to be worth the time it takes to get that gift card.

Is The Site User Friendly?

The one thing stands out about MyClearOpinion is it seems a little outdated.

This site launched 13 years ago and it doesn't really look like it's been updated much since then.

Other, newer survey sites are definitely more slick looking and on the surface look more appealing.

But MyClearOpinion operates smoothly and it's easy to use. There's no confusion about how to sign up or anything like that.

There isn't a mobile app but it's optimized to use on mobile phones. I checked it out on my phone and everything worked fine.
