He claims he can help you self publish books on Amazon and make a lot of money.

12 Things To Know About Self Publishing Masterclass

I don't recommend that you buy Self Publishing Masterclass and there's a lot of reasons why.

This is what I think you should know about this course:

1) How Do You Make Money With Self Publishing Masterclass?

Amazon is the world's biggest book store and they're so big some people think they have a legit monopoly on books.

This raises a lot of problems but it does mean people can make money with books in non-traditional ways.

Self Publishing Masterclass teaches you how to create books and sell them on Amazon.

This is done through picking niches to create books in and running ads on Amazon. 

2) Does Self Publishing On Amazon Work?

It depends on what you mean by "works."

You can definitely create a book and sell it on Amazon.

There's billion of books on Amazon and you can add yours to the collection.

The problem with self publishing is it is really, really hard to succeed.

It's one of the hardest ways to make money online.

Most people will never see more than $500 and only the top 1% make more than $1000 a month.

And it's going to take A LOT of effort to get to that number.

Most people have to write a new book every month to do that - it's rarely just one book that gets you to that number.

I bet the amount of people making a full time income online is miniscule.

There's so many ways to make money online and to create a full time income.

Struggling to make $1000 a month is completely avoidable. 

3) Who Is The Creator Of Self Publishing Masterclass?

The name of the creator of this course is Corvin Van Stone.

To be honest there's basically nothing out there about him.

Corvin has a Youtube channel where he has 11,000 subscribers but doesn't post too much to it.

He seems to upload two videos a month.

Corvin claims that he's sold over 80,000 books which seems pretty good.

However, there's really no proof of this and you should never just trust what someone online says about themselves.

Corvin makes up testimonials (which we'll talk about in the next section) so I wouldn't trust his sales figures either.

Additionally, Stone gets sales by using Amazon ads.

If he made $200,000 selling books on Amazon but spent $150,000 on ads that wouldn't be that impressive. 

4) Are The Testimonials Real?

Some of them are being faked which probably means all of them are being faked.

This isn't surprising to me.

Like I said in the last section it's really hard to make money with self publishing.

So you're not going to have a lot of success stories.

This typically leads to a course seller faking testimonials.

I know Corvin is doing this because I did a reverse image look up of the testimonials.

Here's one person that's supposedly taken the course:

This is just obviously a stock photo.

But just to be sure here's the results when you do a reverse image look up:

Here's another example of a fake testimonial:

This is another stock photo and this picture is used on many different websites:

So there's no reason to believe any of the testimonials.

And it's completely fair to just assume no one who's taken this course has had a lot of success.

5) What Do You Get With Self Publishing Titans Masterclass?

So you do actually get a decent amount of training here.

If you did actually have your heart set on self publishing a book (and are fine with not making a ton of money) this can help you.

Some things you'll learn includes:

• The different types of books you can make
• Different tools you can use 
• How to find a niche to write a book in
• Creating good titles to rank on Amazon
• How to create a title
• How to do keyword research
• How to outsource work
• How to write a description
• How to launch your book
• How to upload your book
• Creating content for your book
• How to do Amazon Ads

The ads section is definitely the biggest and it's pretty thorough.

In that section you'll learn:

• Amazon Ads basics
• Setting a budget
• Automatic ad campaigns
• Manual keyword campaigns
• Launch strategy
• Scaling with ads

Additionally, you get access to a private Facebook Group.

Many courses offer this and it can be helpful.

The best thing about a Facebook Group is it gives you a chance to connect with successful students (if there is any).

A lot of what I've learned online was from just asking successful people questions.

6) What's Not Included?

There's a few things you'd expect to be included in this course but isn't, though.

One thing you'd expect to see is information on how to write a book.. but you don't actually get that.

Instead you get information on how to pick a niche and stuff like that.

Something on writing would have been better.

7) What Is A "Niche?"

If you're not familiar with make money online slang you might not know what the word "niche" means.

A niche is just a market that you're going to focus on.

For example, if you want to write about exercise your niche might be "belly fat."

Picking a niche is very important to making money online.

You want a niche that has a lot of customers but isn't completely saturated.

One of the reasons making money online can take a year or more is you usually have to test a bunch of niches until you find one that makes money.

8) How Much Does Self Publishing Titans Masterclass Cost?

This course is reasonably priced.

There was a New Year sale where you could get the course as low as $97 but that stopped running.

Instead the course seems to be $197 and Corvin claims that the regular price is $297.

I'm guessing the course never goes as high as $297 and that's just more of a sales tactic.

Again, not a bad price.

You see some people charge thousands of dollars for similar training.

So kudos to Corvin for keeping it affordable.

9) Is There A Refund Policy?

Yes there is one but it's not very good.

You only get 7 days to get your money back which I think could be better.

Typically you want to see at least 30 days.

One thing I noticed is Corvin makes you fill out a survey on how he can improve the course before he gives your money back.

That's something I haven't seen before.

10) What Do You Like About Self Publishing Titans Masterclass?

I do think you get a good amount of training.

There's 80 videos and in total there's 10 hours of training.

That's a good amount of information and if you truly want to write books on Amazon it'll be enough to get started.

I like that there's Amazon Ads training as well.

Lastly, I think the price is pretty fair.

Others will charge much more for the same training.

11) What Don't You Like About Self Publishing Titans Masterclass?

The first thing that jumps out at me is the fake testimonials.

If Corvin got rid of those I'd give him a better rating.

But I really can't stomach when people fake testimonials.

It just seems very underhanded to me and makes me doubt everything a course creators says.

Next, I just don't like this money making method.

It's going to be really, really hard to make anything significant writing books on Amazon.

If you think you're just going to write one book and sit back and earn a lot of money you're going to be disappointed.

You're going to have to create a lot of books and work every day to get any sort of results.

But the truth is most won't make more than $500 and only 1% makes more than $1000 per month.

It's just not worth it to me.
