Also, if you have experience there's nothing really new here that you haven't seen before.

Who Is Gael Breton And Mark Webster?
Gael Breton and Mark Webster are the creators of The Authority System.
One thing I like about this duo is they actually make money with affiliate marketing and manage websites that make a lot of money.
A lot of times course creators don't actually make a lot of money doing what they teach.. or they made some money years ago and just make money selling courses now.
This can lead to some outdated training or just tips that straight up don't work anymore.
Gael and Mark are out there trying new things and creating new case studies to show what they teach works.
Who Is The Authority Site System For?
The Authority Site System is a course for anyone that wants to create an online business through blogging.
This course does not have any training on paid traffic, funnels or anything like that.
All the traffic training and the entire course revolves around organic traffic.
So you have to want to blog for this course to be useful.
Also, I'd say it's more for beginners and not for people that are advanced/already know the core principles of affiliate marketing.
If you're a beginner you'll get a TON of value from this course.
This is the kind of course that can teach you how to create a full time income online and change your life.
But if you know SEO already.. know how to pick a niche.. know how to create content.. and stuff like that, I just don't think you're going to learn too much here.
It may be worth it to see the case studies but besides that the training won't teach you too much more.

The Authority Site System is a complete course that covers a lot of ground..
In total there's 15 different modules.
Here's a breakdown of each one:
Module 1: The Authority Site System Business Model
The first module goes right into what you're going to learn in the course and how you will be making money.
The business model is to create authority sites using SEO and organic traffic.
You'll get an idea of how this works and what you'll be creating with this these concepts.
Module 2-3: Finding A Niche
A niche is the market you're going to be creating your website in and knowing how to pick the right niche is very important.
Because of this, these modules are the largest module in the course.
The training in this section is excellent and is probably the best training on selecting a niche that I have ever seen.
Here's an idea of what you'll learn:
- How to research markets to determine if they're good
- What to consider when choosing a big site vs. a small site
- Researching the different products in different niches
- Doing preliminary keyword research
- Taking a look at link building opportunities
- Deciding on your niche
There's a lot of keyword training in this module too.
The keyword tool recommended is called Ahrefs which will cost you $99 per month.
This is a good tool but $99 can be a lot for beginners.
One reason Wealthy Affiliate is my favorite affiliate marketing course is because it comes with a free powerful keyword tool.
Module 4-6: Site Setup
The next modules are easy ones.. they teach site setup.
There isn't much creativity in setting up your site besides picking a brand name and domain name.
You'll be building your site on WordPress and you'll get step by step instructions on how to do that.
You'll also get training on which theme to pick, how to choose website hosting and how to set up your site properly for SEO purposes.
Module 7-10: Content Creation
Content is the backbone of your business.. you can create a website, brand it perfectly but if you're not creating content you don't have a business.
Module 7 to 10 are dedicated to making sure you create content the right way and create in a way that ranks well in Google.
Additionally, you'll get a look at the different kinds of content you'll be writing which includes:
- Reviews
- Info content
- Content for Amazon's affiliate program
and more.
You'll also get some training on outsourcing content which is a good way to scale and relieve some work from yourself.
Module 11: Link Building
Ahh link building..
At one point links were a big deal. You could just buy them and game Google's algorithm.
But Google caught on to this and made some major changes with how they regard links.
Are they still as important today as they were back then?
Depends who you ask.
I personally have never paid attention to links in my life but some people I respect think they play a major role in your ranking.
Regardless Module 11 teaches you how to link build the right way and in a way that won't get you in trouble with Google.
Module 12: Affiliate Monetization Setup
Now that you got the basics of your site down (branding, link building, content creation) it's time to start making money.
Module 12 will teach you how monetize your website with affiliate marketing content.
You'll see how to sign up for affiliate programs, how the payouts work and more.
Module 13: Commercial Content
Commercial content is the actual content you make with affiliate links in them.
You'll learn the different types of commercial content (reviews, 1v1 articles, best of posts) and how to create them.
Module 14: Advanced Tactics
Module 14 is really just the odds and ends of the course.
In this section you'll learn about the following:
- Sticky promo bars
- How to improve your writing speed
- How to hire writers and outsource content
Module 15: Becoming An Authority
The last module isn't really training and is just wrapping things up.

The community that you become apart of is honestly just as important as the training you get.
You can build relationships in a good community and share experiences. This makes learning easier and you can really help you make a lot of money.
The community at Authority Site System has a lot of quality members but it's all in a Facebook group which is disappointing.
Private Facebook communities are really only for asking questions.
Everything will be sorted by most recent too.
It's going to be hard forming connections in a group like this.
This is another reason I like Wealthy Affiliate more. It has a much better community and the community is not on Facebook.

1) Is this course worth $997?
Yes but it is pretty expensive for an affiliate marketing course.
Most affiliate marketing and blogging courses that I review are less than that.
However, The Authority Site System 3.0 is an excellent course and better than most I review.
I also believe if you follow the training and stick with it you can definitely make a full time living.
That's definitely worth paying $997 for.
2) What extra costs are there to blogging and affiliate marketing?
The good thing about blogging and affiliate marketing is it's a very cheap business model to get started with.
The biggest cost besides training will be your keyword research tool.
Authority Site system recommends Ahrefs which is a good tool. However, it's pricey at $99 a month and that cost will add up.
Additionally, you'll need to pay for a domain name (around $15 a year) and hosting ($5 to $50 a month).
You can also buy a premium theme and premium plugins.
When I first started I just used free WordPress themes. So if you're really unable to afford a premium theme don't worry about it.
3) Is Gael Breton and Mark Webster legit?
More legit than most affiliate marketing course creators.
I review a lot of courses and it's clear a lot of people make money just from selling courses or talking about affiliate marketing.
That's not the case with Gael and Mark.
They both have websites that they run that they make money money from and are doing exactly what they teach.
This is good because it means you'll get training that actually works.
4) What does Authority Site System teach?
This course teaches affiliate marketing and blogging.
It only teaches organic traffic and creating authority websites, though.
You're not getting any paid traffic or social media training here. This is strictly content creation and SEO.
5) How long is Authority Site System?
This is a pretty lengthy course and is spread out over 15 different modules.
These modules will show you the entire process to creating an authority website.
This includes researching a niche, selecting keywords, creating a website, branding, creating content, building links and more.
6) Are there any testimonials?
Yes there's a lot of testimonials.
Usually I'm very sceptical of testimonials because I've caught a lot of courses faking them in the past.
But you can be 100% sure these are real.
They're video testimonials where the people talk about their websites and how much they make.
You can verify that they're real.
7) Is there a refund policy?
Yes there's a very good refund policy.
You get 30 days to decide if this course is right for you and if you're not happy you can get a full refund.

That's about as good as you can hope for in terms of a refund policy and shows that Gael and Mark are confident in their course.

Yes and you get access to all future updates for free.
9) How much can I make from taking this course?
There's a lot of factors at play here.
Some people will take this course and make zero dollars.
Others will make a life changing amount of money and make what doctors and lawyers make.
It depends on how long you stick with it and the niche you pick.
As long as you don't give up I think a full time income online is definitely achievable.

The Authority Site System is one of the best blogging/affiliate marketing courses out there.
Basically anyone can benefit from it unless you're already seasoned in blogging.
Even then you'll probably learn some new stuff.
