What Is The Power MBA?

The Power MBA teaches you how to become a digital marketer and create an online business.

There's actually a lot of these kind of trainings out there.. this is the first time I've seen one marketed like you were getting a MBA, though.

Just to be clear you're not actually getting a degree or any kind of MBA from taking this course.

The Power MBA is supposed to be an alternative to an MBA but taking this course is not the same as getting a MBA.

No company or school or anywhere else will recognize it as a MBA.

You're just supposed to be getting the same value.

Is that true?

Not really lol.

The training is decent but it's very broad. You won't learn a business model that you can use right now to start a business.

Instead you just get broad training on various business models.. you'll likely need to to invest in more training after to really learn the business models. 

Misleading Claims About Instructors

The Power MBA makes it seem like the course is taught by very influential and powerful business people.

There's the cofounder of Tesla, Netflix, Shazam, Youtube and more on the sales page.

This is very misleading, though.

There might be some webinars that are more like interviews but you're not actually getting taught by any of these people.

The actual course material is taught by other people.

So if you were expecting to get step by step training from the founders of Netflix and Youtube on how to start an online business, that's not actually the case.

The Power MBA Overview

This program is broken up into 9 modules.

Here's a look at each section and what you get:

Model 1 - Business Model Innovation

This section will help you discover a business model that's right for you.. however, it won't actually give you a business model that you can use to make money.

This is broken up into a few sections.. here's a look at some of the sections:

• Business Model Analysis - This section helps you analyze business models.
• Engines Of Growth - Engines of growth will show you how online businesses grow and how you can grow your own.
• Segmentation And Targeting - Segmentation and targeting helps you better understand your customers.
• Value Propositions - This is just the product or service that you offer.

Module 2 - Testing Business Ideas And The Lean Startup

Basically this section teaches you how to launch your business without spending a ton of money.

The goal is to find a business model that works for you and to not spend a lot finding a business model that works.

Module 3 - Business And Marketing Strategies

Module 3 covers your marketing strategies and how you're actually going to reach customers.

Here's a look at some of what you get:

• Blue Ocean Strategy - This strategy will help you find new strategies in markets.
• Industry Analysis - In this section you'll learn how to analyze competition in your market. 
• Corporate Growth Strategies - You'll see how to grow your business in this section.
• Brand Strategy - Brand strategy will teach you how to grow your brand .
• Pricing - The last thing you'll learn in module 3 is how to price your product or service.

Module 4 - Leadership

Module 4 goes over leadership and how to be a leader at every step of your business's growth. 

Module 5 - Entrepreneurship And Fundraising

Module 5 covers everything you need to know about entrepreneurship and fundraising.

This includes:

• How to prepare yourself for success
• How to build a team 
• How to find people that will invest in your project
• How to reach out to investors and when is the best time to reach out to them

Module 6 - The Power Of Being A Digital Marketer

Marketing online is unique and there's things you need to learn to make it online.

That's what this section is dedicated to teaching.

Here's a look at what you get in this section:

• Understanding the difference between different digital channels 
• How to create a sales funnel
• How to convert a potential customer
• How to attract traffic 

Module 7 - Finance And Accounting

As your business grows finance and accounting become more and more important.. this section will cover these two topics.

Module 8 - HR And Talent Management 

A lot of your job is going to be managing your employees and creating a good work environment.. this section will teach you how to do that.

Module 9 - Disruptive Tech In Business

Module 9 focuses on the new technologies you'll likely come across in your industry.

Too Much Jargon

The term "disrupt" was used maybe a million times on the sales page for The Power MBA.

Jargon is language that's used that's industry specific and hard for people to understand that aren't in the industry.

For example, lawyers talk in legal jargon that wouldn't make sense to most people.

This course uses jargon to the max and it's terrible.

Every single concept that's described is described in the most complicated and hard to understand way imaginable. 

It's almost like The Power MBA creators went out of there way to use as much marketing/business jargon possible. 

I tend to think people that use too much jargon want to come off as smart.. a lot of times people use jargon to compensate for not actually knowing anything. 

Regardless of why all the jargon is used it makes the training harder to comprehend. 

The Power MBA FAQ's

1) Is the Power MBA worth $995?

I personally don't think it is.

The reason for this is you're not actually getting a business model in this course.. it's basically all broad training on starting a business.

So you'll need to develop your own idea of what to do and all that.

You can find broad business advice on Youtube for free.. no need to pay $995 to hear it from The Power MBA trainers. 

2) Are the creators of The Power MBA legit? 

I'm not really 100% sure.

The creators are a bunch of Spanish guys and their accomplishments aren't really mentioned.

It's more about the guest speakers and their accomplishments.

If none of them have actually launched a startup before I wouldn't think they were that legit.

3) What business model is taught?

There really isn't a business model being taught here.

Instead you're just given broad business advice and a look at digital marketing.

You're going to have to figure out a business model to get started in and create a product/service to offer.

4) What do you get with The Power MBA?

You get 9 modules that cover starting an online business in very general ways.

You also get some webinars and interviews from people that have created online businesses.

5) Is there a payment plan? 

Yes, there's a few different payment plans you can do.

The first is to pay in 2 installments at $518 each.

The second option is over 3 installments at $354 each.

The last option is to pay over 6 installments at $184 each. 

6) Is there a refund policy?

Yes, you get 15 days to get your money back.. no questions asked.

7) Is there a better alternative?

Yes, there's many courses that will teach you how to create an online business.
