Jeraun Richards (aka J Rich) is a popular Youtuber that creates content about ecommerce and more.

He recently launched a course called Shopify Dropshipping Course and this review will determine if it's legit or not.

Below you'll find everything you need to know about this course including background information, price to join, course overview and more.

You'll know if Shopify Dropshipping Course is right for you by the time you're done reading.

Let's get into it!

Shopify Dropshipping Course Summary

Product: Shopify Dropshipping Course

Price to join: $497

Rating: 60/100

Do I recommend? Not really

Summary: I started following J Rich a couple years ago and always found him to be pretty genuine.

While I do think he does quite well for himself and does succeed at ecommerce, I don't think you should buy his Shopify Dropshipping Course.

It's short compared to other courses on dropshipping and it's too pricey. Plus the information is generic.

The Truth About Dropshipping

Dropshipping really blew up a couple years ago.

I remember when it happened too. People like Hayden Bowles, Dan Vas, Sebastian Ghiorghiu, Tanner Planes, Franklin Hatchett all popped up around that time.

J Rich was one of these guys as well.

The thing about dropshipping is.. it's not a very fulfilling or fun way to make money and a lot of people are waking up to this.

You're starting to see a lot of "former dropshippers" on Youtube now.

One popular former dropshipper (who now does Social Media marketing for small businesses) claimed "everyone who does dropshipping hates it and aren't proud of what they do."

I can see why.

You're basically just selling cheap Chinese crap to people and marking up the price.

You have to deal with customer service, returns, taking payments, paid ads, and more.

It's stressful and there's no real joy in it.

Making money online doesn't have to be that way.

Who is Jeraun Richards?

I came across Jeraun Richards (aka J Rich) a couple of years ago when I started getting interested in ecommerce.

For some reason he deleted all of his earlier videos and it seems he just kind of started over a year ago.

J Rich has a pretty cool story and you can hear it watching the video below:

Basically J Rich wanted to play basketball for a career but ended up hurting his back.

While at community college he started buying Chinese goods and selling them on Ebay.

Apparently he got that up to 4k a month and was told by someone at the post office to try dropshipping (this way he wouldn't have to deal with shipping).

After struggling to find success J Rich finally started making it big and eventually started making 6 figures a month (not sure if expenses are factored into this).

Apparently he jumped on the strapless bra phenomenon that took over Instagram a couple years ago and made a killing.

I do think J Rich is pretty successful. He gives tours of his apartment and shows off his cars (he bought cars for his mom and grandfather).

I don't think you do this unless you're making good money.

The problem is I don't think this kind of personality is good to learn from and this goes for most Youtube ecommerce gurus.

If someone is flaunting their wealth and showing off their cars, that should be a pretty big red flag.

These people tend to be in it more for themselves and don't make the best courses.

Shopify Dropshipping Course Overview

First off J Rich is probably going to get a "cease and desist" letter from Shopify and have to change the name of the domain/course.

I reviewed a course yesterday that's called Simplified Dropshipping and the owner had to change the name from Simplified Shopify.

This isn't the first course J Rich has offered and his previous course was called 30 Day eCom Challenge.

It originally was $497 but he ended up refunding everyone and making the course free.

I remember when he did this and I can't remember if that was is his plan the whole time or something happened to make him do that.

The course wasn't very good, though, and while Shopify Dropshipping course is an improvement, it's not worth its $497 price tag.

Here's what you get in Shopify Dropshipping Course:

  • 60 videos that go over the dropshipping process
  • 3 custom built dropshipping stores (1 low ticket store and 2 high ticket stores)
  • Access to private group chat

There's nothing new here that you don't already know or couldn't find for cheaper or for free on Youtube.

The game is pretty simple - find a products on Aliexpress, market it and get sales.

You're not getting access to new traffic ideas or anything like that. It's the same stuff and the only thing different here is the 3 stores.

I personally don't even like that, though. You should be learning how to find winning products and niches on your own.

What I Like About This Course

The main things I like about this course is:

J Rich is successful

There's a lot of fake it until you make it types out there on Youtube who rent cars and rent apartments to seem rich.

As far as I can tell J Rich has actually made money from Shopify ecommerce and made quite a bit of money before ever selling a course.

Now he could be lying or misleading about revenue but there's a lot to indicate he's actually successful outside of course sales.

If you can somehow get 1 on 1 mentorship with him that would be worth the course price.

What I Don't Like About This Course

At the end of the day there's more not to like here and the main things I dislike are:

Basic training

If you have basic knowledge of dropshipping and ecommerce you'll pretty much know what's in the course.

It's all the same stuff that's been taught for years now and there's nothing new or exciting in this course.

You can find better training for cheaper.

Too pricey

Again there's a MILLION ecommerce training out there that teach the exact same thing.

While $497 wouldn't be the most expensive course but it's more than other, better courses.

No refunds

This is is probably the worst part of the entire training.

Most trainings have some sort of refund policy and this one doesn't have anything.

Final Thoughts

I like J Rich. I like his story and he seems like a nice enough person.

But that doesn't mean you should buy this course.

Jeraun may be doing well for himself but that doesn't mean he's good at teaching ecommerce and dropshipping.

Overall the course is just alright and you can easily find other dropshipping courses for much cheaper that give you more value.

Also, I think you should reconsider getting involved in dropshipping altogether.

It was hot for a while but people are catching on to the fact they're just getting sold cheap Chinese crap.

Also, many dropshippers are leaving the industry for different ways to make money online.
