Hey!

Have you been approached to join Zinzino and want to know if it's a scam or not?

If so this post is for you..

Below you'll find everything you need to know about this company including background information, price to join, compensation plan and more.

You'll know if this company is right for you by the time you're done reading.

Ready?

Zinzino Summary

Company: Zinzino

Price to join: Free to join (you'll have to pay for products per month, though)

Rating: 40/100

Do I recommend? No!

Summary: Zinzino started out as a MLM that revolved around coffee but turned to nutritional supplements in the last few years.

As far as an opportunity goes Zinzino is typical of many other health and wellness network marketing companies that I've reviewed in the past (not a compliment).

The major problems here is the products are grossly overpriced and the odds for success are extremely low - most people lose money instead of make money here.

For those reasons I don't recommend that you join.

Zinzino FAQ'S

1) What is Zinzino? Zinzino is a MLM company that was founded in 2007 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Originally this company sold coffee pods and in 2013 switched over to nutritional and health products.

The CEO of the company is headed up by Bergheim Pettersen.

2) How do you make money with this company? Like I said before this is a MLM company (AKA Multi-Level Marketing company).

With MLM's and Zinzino you sign up to be a distributor and make money by selling Zinzino products directly to customers on your own.

Also, you make money by recruiting people and building a downline. This may sound like a good way to make money but it's very flawed which I'll explain later on in the post.

3) What kind of products are sold? At the end of this review we'll take a deep dive into what Zinzino sells but it's mostly nutritional products, test kits and skin care products.

4) Are there similar companies out there? Health and wellness is by far the biggest MLM market and there's many identical MLM companies out there. Some include Amare Global, Tranont, Kyani, QuiAri, and many, many more.

Is Zinzino A Pyramid Scheme

People HATE MLM's..

A lot.

Because of this people tend to get a little over-dramatic with labels and accusations about various MLM companies.

Pyramid schemes are illegal in every country including Sweden (where this company is located out of).

There definitely is legitimate illegal pyramid scheme MLM's out there but I don't think Zinzino would fall into that category.

It does, however, have elements of a pyramid scheme which can be described with the picture below:

This is what part of the commission structure at Zinzino looks like and it's the part that deals with recruitment/building a downline.

To be an illegal pyramid scheme the ENTIRE commission structure would have to look like the picture above. This happens when recruitment is the only way to make money and there's no product (or the product is a scam).

Zinzino offers legitimate products and you can sell their products without recruitment (this is the key difference between Zinzino and an illegal pyramid scheme).

Also, if the main source of revenue for a company comes from forcing distributors to buy products every month and not from retail sales, you're in an illegal pyramid scheme.

Zinzino in a way forces distributors to buy products through auotshipment but I don't think it's enough to be illegal.

Success Will Be Rare Here

In the last section I said most people hate MLM's and the reason for this is the low success rate.

Most studies show that up to 99% of people that get involved in a MLM end up losing money instead of making money.

I personally think too many people have seen friends and family members lose money or have had family members/friends try to recruit them and it's just left a general sour feeling towards these companies.

You're going to be sold a dream when someone tries to recruit you to sell under them. They'll talk about money, cars, freedom, owning your own business and all of these other sales points.

But at the end of the day MLM's are hardly a dream. In fact, most of the time they're a complete nightmare.

You usually just end up losing money and alienating friends and family - it's just a horrible way to try and make money.

Below is some even more eye opening MLM stats:

As you can see you'll want to stay away from MLM's in general and not just Zinzino.

How Much To Join Zinzino?

Zinzino is free to join but there's a catch.

In order to qualify for the entire compensation plan there has to be a certain amount of sales generated through autoshipment (buying products from this company monthly)  - this can come from either you or from customers.

Back in the pyramid scheme section I stated if too much of retail sales come from distributors you're in an illegal pyramid scheme and success will be pretty much impossible.

In the beginning you'll most likely have to order products from Zinzino through autoshipment to qualify for the full compensation plan.

In fact, Zinzino encourages you to sign up for autoshipment when you first sign up.

This is a cost that can really add up and will likely be $1,000+ in a year. This is why most people lose money with Zinzino instead of make money.

Most people won't be able to sell more than their autoshipment costs.

Zinzino Compensation Plan

MLM plans are always complicated. They used technical terms and language invented just for their compensation plan.

Some have claimed you need a law degree to really decipher these things and I can't really argue against that.

Zinzino is especially dense and confusing. If you want to read the 24 page plan for yourself, click here

Instead of going over every little detail of the plan I'm just going summarize the main parts.

Affiliate Ranks:

At Zinzino there's 26 different affiliate ranks you can reach and you go from one to another by hitting certain goals - you get different bonuses for going from rank to another as well.

Everything at Zinzino is measured in what they call "credits." For whatever reason a credit isn't based on a currency so a credit doesn't equal a dollar (Sweden or American or any other European country).

Credits on average are over a single dollar, though.

Moving from rank to rank is determined by how many credits (sales) you earn and your downline earns.

For example, to get to the second rank you have to generate and maintain 4 customer points (20 credits in total) a month.

To reach the third rank you'd have to generate and maintain 15000 credits a month.

This goes on until your reach the last rank (3 Star Global President). To reach this rank you'd have to generate 4,000,000 credits a month with you downline.

Keep in mind most people won't get past the first couple of ranks and it's almost impossible to reach the last rank.

Retail Commissions

This is the part of the commission structure that rewards your sales directly to customers.

How much you make per sale depends on your affiliate rank and you can earn from 10% to 50% on each sale you make.

Residual Commissions

This is the part of the compensation plan that rewards your recruitment efforts and it's paid out in a binary structure which looks like the following:

How much you make depends on your rank and how much your downline sells.

Various Bonuses

I've never seen a company offer so many smaller bonuses in my life and some bonuses include Customer Acquisition Bonus, Volume Bonus, Rank Achievement Bonus, X-Team Qualification, Fast Silver Bonus, Mentor Bonus, A-Team Bonus, Pro-Team Bonus, Top -Team Bonus, Top 200 Plus Bonu, Z4F Bonus, zCar Bonus, zPhone Bonus and Director Trips.

It would take WAY too long to explain what each bonus is and how you earn them. If you want to see what each bonus means for yourself, just click the link up top for the full compensation plan.

Zinzino Products

Zinzino is a very typical MLM that revolves around health and supplement products - some people would call it generic.

The main problem here isn't with quality or usefulness (I have no clue if these products work as advertised), it's the price.

One of the biggest problems I see with MLM's (Zinzino included) is they offer products that are very expensive.

Most of the time there's similar products from competitors for 50% less.

People will do research when you try to sell them a product and I guarantee most of the time they'll go with the least expensive option on Amazon.

Having said that, here's the different categories of products they offer:

Balance

The balance section has a combination of various oils and supplements. The main ingredient here seems to be Omega-3 and the products range from $25 for a very small bottle of Omega-3 oil to a package of Omega-3 oils for $135.

Health

This section has various supplements and their most popular is their Xtend supplement (costs $49).

They have other vague sounding supplements like Viva and Protect.

Weight Control

This section is products that help with weight control and are mostly shakes in different flavors (chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, berry).

They also offer energy bars and a supplement called ZinoBiotic in this section.

Skin Care

This is their smallest of all section and there's only one product in different sizes. The cheapest is $65 and you get a small 30 ml bottle for that.

What I Like About Zinzino

Overall I don't like this company but there's a few things I like including:

  • Been around for a while: Most MLM's don't last more than a couple of years and collapse pretty shortly after launching. Zinzino has been around for over 12 years and this is very stable for a MLM.
  • Relaunch shows improvement: The original Zinzino which was based around coffee wasn't a good MLM. The relaunch when they switched to nutrition is definitely an improvement.

What I Don't Like About Zinzino

There's definitely more not to like here than like and the main things I dislike are:

  • Low success rate: If people were making money here I'd be all for it. But the reality is most people don't make money - up to 99% lose money.
  • Overpriced products: The products here may be quality but they're too expensive. You can get Omega-3 from Amazon, Walmart or your local drug store for much less.
  • Autoshipment: There's some autoshipment requirements which is something you don't like to see. This can really add up with cost and when you factor in the 99% failure rate you can see why autoshipment is especially bad with MLM's.
  • Recruiting friends and family: The worst part of MLM's is most people resort to selling and recruiting friends and family. This can really strain close relationships and I promise you Zinzino isn't worth that.

Is Zinzino A Scam?

At the end of the day I don't think Zinzino is a scam - I just think it's a bad business opportunity.

A scam would mean money is being stolen or the product is a scam or front for a recruitment scheme.

Zinzino offers real products and you can make money without recruitment.

The most scammy part is the autoshipment but it's done in a way you can get around it (it'll be a little difficult in the beginning, though).

But the success rate is WAY too low for you to join. I promise you there's easier ways to make money from home.

Here's A Better Opportunity

Hopefully by now you've seen Zinzino for the bad business opportunity that it is.

However, there's still plenty of ways to make money from home and online.

I started making money online as a complete beginner and have made over 6 figures since.

  • Hey Dylan,

I’ve used Zinzino in my nutrition coaching business for about 6 months now, and just wanted to offer some clarifications and corrections – purely from an objective p.o.v. for your readers, I’m not one to tout anything due to association.
I’ll break it up by headings in the article:

“How much to join Zinzino?” –
    * The only aspects of the compensation plan that require purchasing your own product on auto-shipment are the fast start bonuses. These give you one-time pay-outs, access to the “mentor bonus” which just gives 5% from a specified pool of your personally sponsored partners (not the entire downline ), and earlier qualification for doubling every credit you earn indefinitely….but this doubling credits perk is earned naturally once earning 125 credits a month. (which is average 25 individual products)

    * One of the most important factors not touched on is that if you do purchase your own product on auto-shipment, each month you sell 4 products to customers, your order is free besides shipping costs of $7.95. And this is a perk every customer has as well for each of their products, without needing to sign up for anything. If a customer refers someone to me that becomes a customer, I make a note of that in the system and it adds up to the original customer’s tally for free products monthly.
For Example, a partner can even put customers they found themselves under another customer for this purpose. Doing this, my parents get just under $460 worth of products and pay $7.95 for the shipping only. **** You do not receive commission on any of the discounted products. But to get it discounted you basically need 4x the amount, so you’re making commission still there, plus credits end up being the source for the good liveable money to be made.

TL;DR – A small one-time payout and small “mentor bonus” are the only things lost if not purchasing a product monthly. The 1 required product for these though ends up being free as long as you have 4 products sold each month.

    “Zinzino Compensation Plan”

Ok yeah, the plan is ridiculously complicated and impossible to understand on your own. This is a huge turn off for a lot of people, and frustrating to any new partner.

Though once understood (which takes some time), it is one of the better plans I’ve seen. Especially because it allows for new partners to make money and withdraw any amount on a weekly basis. Sure, this will be like $50 a week maybe for new or slow roll partners first month or two. But that can be a big help for a lot of people too, especially with no fee to start.

    “Affiliate Ranks”

    * Credits equal roughly $10. A $40 product equals 4 credits.

    * There are Ranks and there are Titles. Ranks determine commission percentage and base monthly bonus, which primarily determine your money earned for the first few months.
Titles give access to higher and more lucrative bonuses or perks, and only really kick in if you do a LOT of personal sales, or start building a team.

    * You jumped from 20 credits to 15,000 credits as the following rank, which is the only time I will say that your review is grossly incorrect on. 3rd rank is 50 credits, 4th is 125, 5th is 250, 6th is 500, 7th is 1000.
    Titles start at 20, then 750 – 1,500 – 3,000 …. and so on doubling each time.

    “Retail Commissions”

Commissions actually only go up to 30%, not 50%. They do start at 10% as you said.

    “Residual Commisions”

    * Have nothing to do with your downline or recruitment. It’s just your same commission percentage, but on orders that are on auto-ship from customers (or yourself)

    * Your downline and their performance has no impact on how much you make from your sales.
Your downline has an impact on raising your total monthly credits though. And your monthly credits determine many extra bonuses not discussed here.
2 main points with downlines: First, teamwork and community are strongly encouraged over blindly recruiting as much as possible because… Second, everyone benefits equally from a new partner being added. If my sponsor above me recruits a new partner, they will go under me (or under the last added partner) and every single partner above, be it one person or 100 people, benefits equally.

    “Products”

The prices of course look unbearably expensive when quoting the retail price. But I have never sold, tried to sell, or been encouraged to sell retail price. It’s honestly just to make the actual prices more appealing, which is a common strategy for any business mlm or not.

So for context on a couple mentioned in your review – Omega-3 oil is $40, the Xtend multivitamin is $29.

This does require the customer to be on auto-ship, which at the time of your writing absolutely is a concern and cause for caution. But new update for North America only, there is no more agreement for specific time periods or early cancellation fees. You can put one or all products on auto-ship, get everything you buy at the discount price, and cancel your auto-shipment at any time you choose.

*****The BIGGEST thing left out of this review*****

The Blood-test! This is the backbone of the entire company and what put them on the map. Zinzino isn’t a supplement company, it is a health test company that has ancillary supplement products.

The test, which is analyzed by the independent laboratory VITAS , is what every customer is supposed to do before buying any product, as it helps show overall healthy/unbalanced body functions, inflammation, and a few specific dietary inferences based on the fatty acids in your cells – Primarily looking at the Omega-6 and Omega-3 ratio and total percentage.

You can debate about what multi-vitamin from what company is best, but Zinzino is successful mostly because they can prove with test-based evidence their omega-3 is far above and beyond other omega-3 products. I have been testing people for free if they have been using a reputable and well sourced omega-3 supplement consecutively for 4+ months to have my own set of data on specific product comparisons. Not a single test has come back with acceptable levels of Omega-3, besides the second test they take after 4 months on Zinzino’s. This is the one reason I use Zinzino in my nutrition coaching business. And this is not just words from a brainwashed by marketing mlm salesperson. I have the test data to show anyone that wants to see.

The test should be the first aspect mentioned in the summary at the top of the page.

Wow, ok, I did not expect to write that much. But for anyone that comes across and wants to read, should be helpful. And for Dylan, you are the professional writer and I do hope you are willing and able to implement parts of this into an edit of the review. Not saying to change your final opinion, just to add important contextual facts on Zinzino and update some misleading or incorrect information.

Thanks for taking the time to read 🙂

  • Dylan, I am Zinzino partner and in my first year I made $18.000. First and foremost you forgot to mention that 80% of Zinzino sale is done by customers (not Zinzino partners). Second, you can rebate your monthly product very easy by signing your own customers and you pay only the shipping. Zinzino credits are not the same as USD because company is from Sweden, but 1 credit = 1 Euro. You didn’t figure that out so I am telling you. Most of my partners that I enrolled made in evry first month at least $700 so your statement of loosing money in Zinzino is incorrect. Ultimate pack to join Zinzino is 100% refundable after one year with minimum requirement. 25 product sold to my customers including myself (I have full year to approach that) is very little. I completed that in just 11 days.

  • Unfortunately, lots of misleading information not only on the company but the industry in general!

For some reason I have a feeling that this article is pretty much misleading in order to recruit for himself or else there wouldn’t be 4-5 calls to action for „his“ better way of making money online.

Opinions don’t affect facts. But facts should affect opinions, and do, if you’re rational! Having said that, this article is NOT based on facts.
